What to Watch - Trinbago Day 2

August 6, 2023

Team Scotland are set for a busy day two at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games with action across three sports.

Day 2 on Tobago opens with the first Rugby 7s match of Trinbago 2023 with our men’s team taking on Canada at 9am (2pm UK time) and then coming up against Jamaica later on in the afternoon at 1pm (6pm UK time).

Team Scotland’s two triathletes, Jessica Heep and Alex Robin go for gold in the individual triathlon events at Buccoo Beach Facility at 8:30am (2:30pm UK time) and 10:30am (3:30pm UK time).

On Trinidad it’s the first day of swimming with plenty of Scots to cheer on. The morning heats get underway at 10am (3pm UK time) with the 50m Fly with Drew McKenzie in the women’s and Dean Fearn in the men’s event.

Drew is immediately back in action in the 200m Freestyle and Team Scotland flagbearer Stefan Krawiec is joined by Evan Davidson in the men’s equivalent. The morning session concludes with Holly McGill, Dean Fearn and Matthew Ward racing the 100m Backstroke.

The finals take place in the evening session from 6pm (11pm UK time) where qualifiers from the morning heats will join Sean McCann, who goes in the 1500m Freestyle A final.
