Team Scotland has announced its 12-player netball squad for Glasgow 2026, with three players set for their third Commonwealth Games appearance and five preparing to make their Games debut. 

The squad combines experienced Scottish Thistle internationals with emerging talent as Team Scotland prepares to compete in front of a home crowd at one of the biggest events on the international netball calendar. 

Emily Nicholl, Bethan Goodwin and Niamh McCall will all compete at their third Commonwealth Games, having previously represented Team Scotland at Gold Coast 2018 and Birmingham 2022. 

Nicholl heads to Glasgow as Scotland’s most-capped player in the squad with 61 international appearances, while both Goodwin and McCall have both earned 51 caps for their country. 

Iona Christian, Emma Barrie, Rachel Conway and Hannah Leighton have all been selected for their second Games after representing Team Scotland in Birmingham four years ago. 

Lexy Gillies, who represented Team Scotland at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games where the team finished fourth, Cerys Cairns, Cerys Finn, Hannah Grant and Jazmine Moore will all make their Commonwealth Games debut in Glasgow next month. 

The squad will be led by Head Coach Kath Tetley alongside Assistant Coach Lesley MacDonald as Team Scotland prepares to compete in front of a home crowd at The Hydro.

“It’s fantastic to see such a strong squad named for a home Commonwealth Games, with a good mix of experienced international players and athletes preparing for their first Games. I’m confident the group will represent Team Scotland well in front of a home crowd at The Hydro this summer.” 

Team Scotland will face New Zealand in their first match of the netball event on Saturday, 25 July. The competition will run through until the last day of the Games on Sunday, 2 August. Tickets for all netball fixtures are available here.
