Clear, consistent selection policies and the Team Scotland ethos, bringing together all sports as one team, have been a factor in the success of Team Scotland over past Games cycles. Continuing the same approach, selection policies for Glasgow 2026 focus on selecting a team that performs with distinction in 2026.

Declaration of Eligibility to Represent Scotland in Athletics

Athletes are encouraged to declare their eligibility* to represent Scotland in athletics at the 2026 Commonwealth Games as soon as possible but no later than 31st January 2026.

Declarations must be made in writing to performanceteam@scottishathletics.org.uk.

Please note that this does not apply to athletes who have already represented, or confirmed their eligibility to represent, Scotland in athletics.

Declaration of Eligibility to Represent Scotland in Judo

Athletes are encouraged to declare their interest in representing Scotland within judo at the 2026 Commonwealth Games as soon as possible but no later than 31st December 2025.

Declarations of interest must be made in writing to info@judoscotland.com.

Please note that selected athletes in JudoScotland’s 2025 National Squad do not need to confirm their eligibility and intent to represent Scotland.
