Team Scotland has confirmed that 1500m and 3000m runner Corey Campbell has been forced to withdraw from the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games due to injury.

Chris Purdie, Team Scotland Chef de Mission commented: “Sincere commiserations to Corey. I know just how much he was looking forward to representing Team Scotland here at Trinbago 2023 and to succumb to injury at this late stage is a huge blow.

“We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action soon. Despite his own personal disappointment, I am sure he will be cheering on his team mates through the rest of the Games.”
