At the Sunday Mail sportscotland Scottish Sports Awards 2010 in Glasgow last week, Team Scotland was recognised and voted Team of the Year for its outstanding team spirit and performance both on and off the field of play. Team Scotland Chef de Mission, Jon Doig and small bore shooting coach, Donald McIntosh collected the award on behalf of the team.

Swimmer Robbie Renwick and per Grace Reid were also amongst the winners again and were awarded Inspirational Performance of the Year and Young Sports Person of the Year respectively – twice in a week.

Also shortlisted were: Hannah Miley, Jon Hammond and Robbie Renwick for Sports Personality of the Year; Jen McIntosh for Amateur Performance of the Year, Sean Fraser for the Disability Award; Donald McIntosh and Patrick Miley for Coach of the Year.

It was great to see so many of our Commonwealth Games stars recognised at this prestigious event.
