John Archibald
Cycling

Switching from Road to Track Cycling in 2017 in a bid for Commonwealth Games selection, John’s decision paid dividends as he raced to a superb silver medal in the Individual Pursuit at Gold Coast 2018. With sister Katie winning gold in the women’s event, the pair became the first brother and sister to win Commonwealth Games medals for Scotland on the same day.

John holds the Scottish record for the 25 Mile Time Trial and, following his switch to the track, won gold in the Points Race and bronze in both the Individual and Team Pursuit at the 2018 British Track Championships, adding to the two gold and a silver he won at the Scottish Championships in 2017.
