Day 5 Round up

Team GB’s day started with another bronze medal added to the roster by Scottish triathlete Beth Potter who placed third in the women’s triathlon with a finish time of 1:55:10.

Sarah Robertson, Amy Costello and Charlotte Watson along with the rest of Team GB’s women’s hockey team grabbed their first 2-1 win in their third pool match against South Africa with Costello scoring the first goal.

Keanna MacInnes proceeded to the semifinals of the 200m Butterfly after coming first in her heat with a time of 2:08.46.

In the Men’s Skiff (49er), Fynn Sterritt and his partner James Peters finished in 7th place overall in their final day of regular races, meaning they qualify for the final medal race on Day 6.

Day 6 Preview

Scott Brash will compete in his first event in the Equestrian Jumping Team qualifier with team mates Harry Charles, Ben Maher and Joseph Stockdale.

Katie Shanahan will compete in the 200m Backstroke Heats with hopes of qualifying for the finals race later in the day.

Duncan Scott is back in the pool, this time competing in the 200m Individual Medley Heats. He has the opportunity to race in the semifinals in the evening.

Seonaid McIntosh will compete in her next event: the 50m Rifle 3 position qualification.

After another successful round, Andy Murray and Dan Evans will play Team US’s Fritz & Paul in the Men’s Doubles quarterfinal.

Lucy Hope will also make an appearance in the pool competing in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay Heats with possibility of swimming in the finals later in the day.

Lee Morton, with Team GB’s men’s Hockey team, will take on France in their penultimate pool match.

Medals are in contention for Scot Fynn Sterritt and partner James Peters when they compete in the Skiff (49er) Medal race.

Team GB’s women’s Hockey team will take on the United States in their next pool match with Sarah Robertson, Amy Costello and Charlotte Watson all in the starting line up.

Finally Keanna MacInnes will be in with a chance of stepping on the podium, as she competes in her 200m Butterfly final.

Day 4 Round Up

More success for Andy Murray and his partner Dan Evans saw the pair beat Belgium to proceed to the quarter finals of the tennis Men’s Doubles.

Team GB’s men’s hockey team had another thrilling day, this time earning another 2-2 draw against the Netherlands. Scottish player Lee Morton scored both goals for his team.

The women’s Rugby 7s came to conclusion yesterday, with Team GB first playing China before facing Ireland in their 7th/8th place final. Team GB beat Ireland meaning they place seventh overall.

Improvements for sailor Fynn Sterritt and 49er partner James Peters saw them rise up the ranks to sit at 10th place at the halfway stage.

Kirsty Gilmour fell to defeat against He BingJiao of China in her second group match, meaning her Paris 2024 journey has come to an end.

Gold success in the pool saw Duncan Scott and his 4x200m Freestyle Relay team secured Team GB’s first swimming gold medal of the 2024 Olympics.

Day 5 Preview

Beth Potter will compete in her first event of the Olympics in the Women’s Individual Triathlon.

Team GB’s women’s hockey team compete in their next pool match, this time against South Africa.

Keanna McInnes is back in the pool, competing in Heat 1 of the Women’s 200m Butterfly with a chance of competing in the semifinals later in the day.

Fynn Sterritt and 49er partner James Peters return to the water to compete in the last three races before the Medal Race.

Day 2 Round up

Yesterday, Day 2 of Paris 2024 saw eight Scots involved throughout an action packed day.

Duncan Scott placed 3rd in his Men’s 200m Freestyle Heat and 11th overall with a time of 1.46.34, meaning he has qualified for the Final.

Andy Murray has progressed to the next round of the Tennis Men’s Doubles with partner Dan Evans after an unbelievable comeback saw the pair beat Japan in the final tie break.

Team GB’s women’s hockey team featuring Scots Sarah Robertson, Amy Costello and Charlotte Watson suffered a narrow defeat against Spain with a final score of 2-1.

It was a tough day at the office for Seonaid McIntosh who missed out on qualification for the women’s 10m air rifle final after her rifle malfunctioned during the warm-up.

Fynn Sterritt endured a difficult start with team mate James Peters after placing 18th in Race 1. However, they improved to 11th in the second race having had to take a penalty turn. They placed 13th in Race 3.

In men’s hockey, Scot Lee Morton was part of Team GB who fought back to land a 2-2 draw in their pool match against South Africa after securing a comfortable 4-0 win over Spain the previous day.

Finally in Rugby 7s, Lisa Thomson and the rest of Team GB found success in their first match of the day when they secured a 21-12 win over Ireland. However, later in the day they came up short when Australia proved too strong and the game ended with a score of 36-5.

Day 3 Preview

Day 3 kicks off early for Scottish Badminton star Kirsty Gilmour when she will face Keisha Fatimah Azzahra in her first round of the Women’s singles group stages.

Swimmer Katie Shanahan will compete in Heat 1 of the Women’s 400m Individual Medley with hopes of qualifying for the final later in the day.

Kathleen Dawson also competes in her Heat for the Women’s 100m Backstroke. If successful, she will proceed to the semi finals that take place in the evening.

Fynn Sterritt continues with Race 4 in the Men’s Skiff starting in 14th overall after placing 13th overall at the end of Race 3 yesterday.

Team GB’s Women’s Rugby 7s team is back in action when they play South Africa with Scot Lisa Thomson in the starting line-up. Placing play-offs take place later in the day and will be dependant on where Team GB place in their pool.

The Women’s Hockey team also compete again today, this time against Australia.

Duncan Scott will compete in the Men’s 200m Freestyle Final after qualifying yesterday.

Paris 2024 kicks of with five Scottish athletes competing as part of Team GB.

8.30am: Seonaid McIntosh will compete in her first event of the day in the 10m Mixed Air Rifle qualifier before joining with partner Michael Bargeron at 9.30am for the 10m Mixed Air Rifle medal.

9am: Team GB’s Men’s Hockey team will have their first outing this morning against Spain, with Scot Lee Morton included.

10am: 28 year old Grace Reid will compete in the Synchronised 3m Springboard Final with hopes of improving her 6th place at Tokyo 2020.

10am: Keanna MacInnes will compete in the 100m butterfly heats before the semifinals this evening at 7.30pm.

11am: Cameron Norrie will take to the court for Round 1 of the Tennis Men’s Singles where he will take on Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands.
