Day 6 Round up

Team GB’s Equestrian team, including Scottish rider Scott Brash, placed third in the Jumping Team qualifier overall and qualified for the final.

Katie Shanahan placed fifth in her 200m backstroke heat and fourth in her semifinal, meaning she has qualified for the final medal race.

Duncan Scott booked his spot in the 200m Individual Medley final after placing first in his heat and second in the semifinal.

A tough day for Seonaid McIntosh saw her place 12th in the 50m Rifle 3 Position Women’s Qualifier, meaning she has missed out on further progression.

Tennis legend Andy Murray has now officially retired from the sport after he and partner Dan Evans were knocked out in the Men’s Doubles Quarterfinal by Paul & Fritz from Team US.

Back in the pool, Lucy Hope and her team qualified for the 4x200m Freestyle Relay Final after placing third in their heat. Later in the day, they placed fifth overall in the final.

Success for Lee Morton and the rest of Team GB’s men’s hockey team saw them beat host nation France in their penultimate pool match, finishing the match with a score of 2-1.

Team GB’s women’s hockey team were also successful on the field when they beat Team US 5-2, with Amy Costello, Sarah Robertson and Charlotte Watson all involved.

Day 7 Preview

Scottish athletes Neil Gourlay and Josh Kerr will compete in their first event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as they participate in their heats in Round 1 of the Men’s 1500m race.

Kathleen Dawson is back in action as she takes part in the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay.

After being cancelled mid race yesterday, medals are in contention for Scot Fynn Sterritt and partner James Peters when they compete in the Skiff (49er) Medal race.

There’s another chance for a medal for Team GB as Scott Brash and his team compete in the Equestrian Jumping Team Final at the Château de Versailles.

Jemma Reekie competes in her first event and will take on Round 1 of the Women’s 800m in heat one.

The final pool match for Team GB’s men’s hockey is on the cards where Lee Morton and the rest of the team will take on Germany.

A medal is up for grabs for Katie Shanahan as she competes in the women’s 200m Backstroke Final.

Duncan Scott also has a medal race, this time in the men’s 200m Individual Freestyle Medley.
