Day 11 Round Up

In the final day of Equestrian events, Scott Brash, with horse Jefferson, competed in the Individual Jumping Final. He completed his run in 81.23 with four penalties, finishing in sixth place overall.

On the track, Laura Muir finished in second place in her 1500m heat and second overall, meaning she will now advance to the semifinal event on Thursday.

Scottish sailor Anna Burnet and her partner John Gimson competed in their final three rounds of the Mixed Multihull. The pair placed fifth in Race 10, first in Race 11 and third in race 12, so now progress into the Medal Race in third place.

Team GB collected another silver medal through Jack Carlin and his team after they finished just under a second after world record holders the Netherlands in the Men’s Team Cycling Sprint Final with a time of 41.814.

Josh Kerr also picked up a silver medal in the nail biting Men’s 1500m Final where he finished just 0.14 seconds behind Team USA’s Cole Hocker. Neil Gourlay placed 10th in the same event.

Day 12 Preview

Jack Carlin is back in action after silver success yesterday, this time competing in the Men’s Individual Cycling Sprint qualifying at the National Velodrome with finals later in the day.

Medals are in the cards for Anna Burnet and partner John Gimson as they compete in their Mixed Multihull Medal Race.
