Team Scotland is excited to announce leading sportswear brand Macron as the official kit supplier to our Commonwealth Youth Games team heading to Trinidad & Tobago next month.
Macron have provided a range of high quality team wear, which will be worn by athletes, coaches and support staff. The range has a strong appearance with distinctive ‘Saltire’ blue and white lead colours, in-keeping with Team Scotland’s heritage.
The range supplied to the team includes jackets, t-shirts, track pants, shorts, hats, and luggage, and a t-shirt has been specially designed for the Opening and Closing ceremonies, with some of the more vibrant colours in the brand palette giving a Caribbean feel.
Announcing the agreement, Commonwealth Games Scotland Chief Executive, Jon Doig OBE, said: “Team kit is such an important aspect in creating the best possible Games experience for our athletes and staff to enable them to perform to their best. The look and feel of the design is a visual representation of all sports uniting as one Team Scotland and I have no doubt that our athletes will be proud to wear this kit as they represent Team Scotland for the first time.”
Macron were selected on their reputation and expertise in providing high quality performance and leisurewear to top teams across a wide range of sports, including Scottish Rugby. Athletes and staff received their kit at last weekend’s Team Camp in Stirling to a hugely positive response.
Andrea Palilla, Country Manager at Macron, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce the partnership with Team Scotland to supply them training, leisurewear and accessories for the forthcoming 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad & Tobago. This prestigious agreement will allow Macron to consolidate our already strong presence in Scotland and we look forward to providing the best possible travel wear for Scotland’s best young athletes.”
