Beach Volleyball In The Commonwealth Youth Games
Beach Volleyball is an optional sport in the Commonwealth Youth Games, making it’s debut at the Bahamas 2017 Youth Games in Nassau. Following this, it will also make its full Commonwealth Games debut, being included on the programme for Gold Coast 2018.
Commonwealth Youth Games Beach Volleyball competition is run under the rules of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two players on a sand court divided by a net.
The Commonwealth Youth Games competition will feature both men’s and the women’s Team events. There will be 12 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams, each gender divided into four pools of three , with the top teams advancing to the knockout phase of quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. The teams not qualifying for quarter-finals will take part in classification matches 9-12 and the losers of the quarter-finals will then take part in classification matches 5-8.Learn More
