Scott McLay

Scotland's most successful Commonwealth Youth Games athlete in history with five medals at the Bahamas 2017 Youth Games, including three gold, Scott stepped straight into the senior team for Gold Coast 2018, winning bronze as part of the 4x100m Freestyle Relay squad.

Scottish Age 17 record holder in four events, Scott took a full set of medals at the 2017 British Junior Championships with gold in the 50m Backstroke, silver in the 50m Freestyle and bronze in the 100m Backstroke, going on to represent Great Britain at the 2017 European Junior Championships where he won bronze in the 4x100m Mixed Medley Relay. It was the continuation of a fantastic run of form which had seen him take four medals, including three gold, at the Scottish Age Group Championships and three youth titles at the Edinburgh International Swim Meet.  Scott also placed 4th in the 50m Freestyle at the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2015.
