Ronnie Duncan

Competing at his first Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Ronnie had the perfect campaign, winning gold in both Triples and Fours. Neck and neck with hosts Australia in the Triples final the Scotland trio of Ronnie, Derek Oliver and Darren Burnett took crucial points when it mattered to secure a 19-14 win and Scotland's first ever medal in this event.

In the Fours, Ronnie teamed up with defending champions Alex Marshall and Paul Foster as well as fellow Games debutant Derek Oliver to claim a second gold. Sitting 13-11 down going into the last end, some show-stopping play from all four men saw them score four bowls in the last end, walking away with a 15-13 win.

Ronnie was also part of the Four that took bronze at the 2016 World Championships in New Zealand.
