Neil Fachie

Birmingham 2022 saw Neil, piloted by Lewis Stewart, win gold in the Time Trial final and silver in the Sprint, making him the second most successful athlete in Team Scotland's history. With five gold and one silver medal at Commonwealth Games, Neil sits just behind bowler Alex Marshall, who has five gold, one silver and one bronze.

Neil won gold in both Time Trial and Sprint at Gold Coast 2018 with pilot Matt Rotherham, setting World and Games records in Sprint qualifying and a Games record in the Time Trial. It completed made it a 'double double', having also won gold in both events at Glasgow 2014 with pilot Craig MacLean.

Neil is a nineteen-time World champion, four-time Paralympic Games medallist and, with pilot Pete Mitchell, became the first tandem pair ever to break the one minute mark in the 1km Time Trial.

Before taking to Cycling, Neil competed in Para-Athletics and competed at the 2008 Paralympic Games over 100m and 200m.
