Megan Gordon

Building on her experience from the 2017 Bahamas Youth Games Megan made her Commonwealth Games debut at the Gold Coast reaching the quarterfinals and achieving a 5th place finish. Megan became the first female boxer in history to represent Team Scotland at any Commonwealth Games event, as she took bronze at the Bahamas 2017 Youth Games. Scottish Youth Champion for 2017, Megan narrowly missed out on adding the British Youth title, having to settle for silver on a split decision in the final. Megan also had the honour of boxing live on television when her bout against Welsh Champion Helen Jones was screened on a digital channel in December 2016. Megan’s sporting hero is London 2012 Olympic gold medallist and Professional World Heavyweight Champion, Antony Joshua.
