Martyn won bronze, swimming the heats of the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay, as he made his Commonwealth Games debut at Birmingham 2022. He was a semi-finalist in both the 50m and 100m Backstroke events and swam the heats of the Mixed 4 x 100m Medley Relay, with the team going on to place 6th in the final.
