Katie Shanahan
Katie made her Team Scotland debut at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, winning two bronze medals in Women's 200m Backstroke and Women's 400m Individual Medley. She continued her excellent form into the European Championships, winning silver in the 200m Backstroke.
Since then she has gone on to make her Olympic debut at Paris 2024, finishing fifth in the 200m Backstroke and seventh in the 400m Individual Medley.
She won six medals at the 2021 European Junior Championships, including gold in both the 200m and 400m Individual Medley. She also took six medals, three gold and three silver, at the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2019.
