Josh Taylor

Josh made his Team Scotland debut at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India in 2008 where he won bronze in the 54kg event. He stepped up to the senior team at Delhi 2010 and won Lightweight silver, missing out to reigning European Champion Thomas Stalker of England in the final. Four years later and competing on home soil at Glasgow 2014 he went one better to take Light Welterweight gold in front of 10,000 capacity crowd at the SSE Hydro Arena.

Josh also qualified for the London 2012 Olympic Games, becoming the first Lightweight Scottish boxer to qualify for the Olympics since Dick McTaggart, who won a gold medal in Melbourne in 1956 and a bronze in Rome in 1960.

Josh turned professional in 2015 and has remained undefeated, including lifting the Commonwealth Super Lightweight and WBC Silver belts.
