Jonathan Hammond

Jonathan is Team Scotland's most successful athlete at a single Commonwealth Games with two gold, a silver and a bronze at the Delhi 2010 Games. His first medal came in the 50m Rifle 3P Pairs alongside Neil Stirton before he took silver in the individual event. His two gold medals came in the 50m Rifle Prone Individual event and in the Pairs, again partnered by Neil Stirton. Jonathon also competed at Glasgow 2014 with his best placing 5th in the individual 3P event.

Jonathan also competed for Great Britain at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games with a best placing of 17th which came in the 50m Rifle Prone event at London 2012. Since 2006 he has been head coach of the West Virginia University Rifle Team which has seen multiple national title wins under his leadership.  He has also coached several Olympians, including 2016 gold medallists Ginny Thrasher and Nicco Campriani.
