Joanna Robertson
Joanna will make her Commonwealth Games debut for Team Scotland at Glasgow 2026 in the 1500m T54. She opened her 2026 season in Canberra, Australia, setting new personal bests over 400m, 800m and 1500m.
A keen but not competitive swimmer in her youth, Joanna found a new focus in wheelchair racing after a car crash in 2029 left her paralysed from the waist down. Her physio told her about World and Paralympic champion Sammi Kinghorn and, having watched footage of her racing, Joanna was determined to give it a go. Glasgow 2026 will be her first major international event.
