Double Commonwealth Games medallist with silver at Delhi 2010 and bronze at Glasgow 2014, Ian started shooting whilst studying at Epsom College in
the mid 1980s.  After competing at Bisley
in the Fullbore Rifle discipline, he was hooked by the challenge of hitting a
10 inch centre at 1000 yards with the wind capable of blowing the bullet feet
from the target let alone the centre.

He
has gone on to win the Scottish, English and British Open Championships as well
as being one of only 4 Brits & the only Scot to win the Ballinger Belt (New
Zealand Open Championship) in over 140 years of competition. Gold Coast 2018 will be Ian’s sixth Commonwealth Games for Team Scotland. He also competes
regularly for Great Britain and the county of Surrey.
