Winning double gold at the 2016 World University Championships in Nyon, Switzerland capped an outstanding year for Grant, which also included Mixed Team Relay gold at the European Championships and individual bronze at the European Sprint Championships. He went on to his best ITU World Triathlon event result with fourth in Edmonton in September 2016.
A former swimmer, Grant turned his hand to Triathlon and hasn’t looked back since. He won a bronze medal at the ITU World Junior Championships in 2013 and represented Team Scotland at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, finishing 14th in the individual event and 7th in the Mixed Team Relay.
