Gold Coast 2018 was Ellie's first experience of Commonwealth Games competition, the youngest member of the gymnastics team at just 15 years old. Alongside Cara Kennedy, Shannon Archer, Izzy Tolometti and Sofia Ramzan, she secured a 5th place finish in the Women's Team Event.
Ellie won Individual All-Around gold at the Scottish Junior Championships in both 2016 and 2017 and qualified for two apparatus finals at the 2017 British Junior Championships. She made the step up to senior competition in 2018, winning gold on Vault and silver on both Beam and Bars at the Scottish Championships in February.
