Eilidh Doyle

Brian Doyle
Pitreavie
Team Scotland's first ever female flag bearer at an Opening Ceremony, Eilidh took silver at Gold Coast 2018, her third successive Commonwealth Games silver over 400m Hurdles. Alongside a glittering array of Olympic, World and European medals, it cemented Eilidh's place as Scotland's most decorated track & field athlete of all-time.

Bronze over 400m at the 2018 World Indoor Championships had indicated the kind of form she was in coming into her third Commonwealth Games and she delivered once again on the big stage. She had followed her Glasgow 2014 silver with gold at the European Championships, the first British woman for 20 years to win the 400m Hurdles title. She also won two Diamond League races in the build up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where she made the final of the 400m Hurdles before taking bronze in the 4 x 400m Relay.
