A multiple Scottish and British champion, Gold Coast was Eileen's third Commonwealth Games for Team Scotland, competing in the Points Race, Scratch Race and Road Race events. Eileen began racing age 10 on a grass track at the Highland Games. She aspired to go to art school, but her first European event with Scottish Cycling at the age of 16, funded by the Braveheart Cycling Fund, decided her on a career in Cycling.
