David Carry

David represented Scotland at three Commonwealth Games, making his debut at Manchester 2002 at the age of 20. Four years later at Melbourne 2006 he took double gold, winning both the 400m Freestyle and 400m Individual Medley, and silver in the 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay. He added to his medal tally at Delhi 2010 with bronze in the 400m Freestyle and silver in the 4 x 200m Freestyle.

He represented Team GB at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, placing 7th in the 400m Freestyle final at the latter. He was also a silver medallist at the 2006 European Championships and 2008 World Short Course Championships, both in the 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay.

David married fellow swimmer Kerri-Anne Payne in 2012 and was an ambassador for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
