Cameron made his Commonwealth Games debut for Team Scotland at Birmingham 2022, finishing fifth in the team event alongside Frank Baines, Pavel Karnjenko, David Weir, and Hamish Carter.
He was been selected for the Great Britain high performance programme in the men’s artistic top senior squad 2021. In the competition he achieved a silver medal and a new personal best in the all-around. He also took a bronze medal in the pommel final.
