Day 14 Round Up

Nicole Yeargin and her team placed second in their 4x400m Relay heat with a time of 3:24.72 (and a season best), meaning they qualified for the Final.

It was bronze for Jack Carlin in the Men’s Cycling Sprint after he was beaten by Netherlands’ Harrie Lavreysen in the final semifinal race. He went on to beat Jeffrey Hoogland from the Netherlands in the third place race, securing another bronze for Team GB.

Grace Reid competed in her 3m Springboard Final, placing 10th overall.

Neah Evans secured a silver medal in the Women’s Madison with partner Elinor Barker, finishing just six points behind winners Italy.

Eilish McColgan and Megan Keith finished the Women’s 10,000m Final in 15th and 23rd place respectively.

Day 15 Preview

Rebecca McGowan will take on Venice Elizabeth Megan Traill from Fiji in her first round of the Taekwondo women’s +67kg, with the opportunity to progress into the further rounds.

Jack Carlin is back in the velodrome, this time competing in the Men’s Keirin with the chance of advancing through the rounds.

The big one for Laura Muir is coming up, as she has her 1500m final at the Stade de France. A medal is also in contention for Nicole Yeargin as she and her team take on the 4x400m Relay Final.
