Was a Clydesider as part of the photo team at the Weightlifting in the Clyde Auditorium aka Armadillo.

Memory that always sticks in my mind came from the +105kg Men’s Final A in Weightlifting. The athlete representing Tuvalu walked out onto the stage for their final attempt to stay in the competition, and as the crowd fell silent, this tiny voice from the stage called out asking Glasgow to help.

And as he started his lift, the crowd gave it laldy, giving him all the support they could. Sadly he was unable to complete the lift but to hear the support and see what it meant to athlete was truly a special moment
