Jim Alder

James Alder (known as Jim) represented Scotland at both the Kingston 1966 and Edinburgh 1970 Commonwealth Games. At the Kingston Games he won gold in the Marathon and bronze in the 6 mile event. He also won Marathon silver at the 1970 Games.

Jim represented Great Britain at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City and won bronze in the Marathon at the 1969 European Championships in Athens.
